Orrin Broberg
Founder and President
At the helm of Employee Continuum is founder and president Orrin Broberg, a seasoned CEO and entrepreneur who is recognized as an industry pioneer in technology-based business solutions.
With the belief that a company's success is not based on how well it trains its people, but rather about selecting the right people in the first place, Mr. Broberg founded Employee Continuum (formerly eContinuum) to help companies develop stronger sales hiring practices. Since its inception, Employee Continuum has been revolutionizing the way corporations improve sales workforce efficiencies through its comprehensive assessment on-demand software solution, Overture.
Mr. Broberg's background includes more than 20 years experience in the development and marketing of human capital management (HCM) systems. Through his development and implementation of learning, certification and development systems for some of the largest companies in the world, including American Airlines, SBC Communications, AT&T and Panasonic, Mr. Broberg has successfully bridged the effectiveness of the employer/employee relationship.
In 1988, he founded his first company, Applied Learning Systems (ALS), a service company that created and marketed competency-based training services to Fortune 500 companies. ALS designed and developed a strategic customer service training program for 50,000 American Airlines employees. In 1998, MR. Broberg founded Mastery Point Learning Systems, which focuses on the development of strategic certification and learning programs for the telecommunications and convergence industries. In 2002, Mr. Broberg was nominated for the prestigious Thomas Carter Award, which recognizes outstanding service in public interest in the field of telecommunications.
Mr. Broberg is an active member in the community and currently holds the Board Chair title for Free Arts Minnesota.
Jody Harrison
Chief Financial Officer
Jody Harrison has been instrumental in the growth and success of Orrin Broberg's various business ventures. She has been with Employee Continuum since its inception and currently oversees the financial, human resources and legal matters of the company and also provides support to marketing and Web site content management.
As the CFO, Ms. Harrison takes the corporate vision of the company and is able to translate that vision into a strong fiscal plan. Ms. Harrison brings with her more than ten years experience in auditing and preparing corporate financial statements and corporate tax returns. She has collaborated with several other entrepreneurs and small privately held companies, facilitating the growth of organizations through the process of buying and selling companies.
Ms. Harrison holds the philosophy that coordination and communication between departments is the key to running a healthy and effective organization. Details are her specialty; in Ms. Harrison's vision, no job or task is too small or unimportant when keeping a business running smoothly.
A licensed CPA, Ms. Harrison has a degree in Accounting.

To best serve all of its clients, the company has established an Advisory Board of industry experts whose experiences and knowledge help drive Employee Continuum’s future growth and successes. The Advisory Board provides meaningful insights to Employee Continuum in a variety of areas, which further allow the company to improve services to all of its clients.
Sharon A. Stein
Sharon Stein is a former executive with the Ceridian Corporation, a business services company offering human resource services, including payroll, benefits administration, tax compliance, HR information systems, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and work-life solutions. Beginning in 1978, Ms. Stein had served in numerous positions at Ceridian; most recently she was the senior vice president and general manager responsible for the integration and turnaround of the Payroll/Human Resource, Tax Filing and Talent Management business units.
At one time Ms. Stein oversaw the day-to-day operations of LifeWorks, Ceridian's employee effectiveness services that provide support for millions of workers around the world. Under Ms. Stein's leadership, LifeWorks developed programs that reduce expenses and eliminate multiple vendors with fully integrated employee assistance and work-life support services.
Ms. Stein received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career, including being named to Ceridian's President Club for eight years and receiving the company's Sales and Marketing award for top sales leadership performance.
Dr. Charles Handler
Dr. Charles Handler, PHR, is the president and founder of Rocket-Hire, a consultancy that helps organizations use technology and best practices to build effective, legally sound employee selection systems. Before founding Rocket-Hire, Handler spent almost a decade developing and validating employee selection systems for a wide range of areas, including retail, manufacturing, telecommunications, high-tech, and public safety.
Dr. Handler is internationally known as a thought leader in the development of online screening and assessment technology. He has specialized in partnering with customers to develop strategies that help increase effectiveness of the employee selection process and has also created training/development and performance management systems for a variety of companies.
Dr. Handler is the author of the "Rocket-Hire Buyer's Guide to Web Based Screening and Staffing Assessment Systems" and is a regular contributor to Workforce Magazine, SHRM's Employment Management Association and Employment Management Today Magazine as well as a regular columnist for the Electronic Recruiting Exchange's online newsletter.
Jim Dickie
Jim Dickie is a Managing Partner with CSO Insights, a research firm that specializes in benchmarking how companies are leveraging people, process, and technology. Beginning his career with IBM and Sterling Software, Dickie has more than 29 years of sales and marketing management experience and is responsible for helping launch two successful software companies.
Mr. Dickie is a contributing editor for CRM Magazine, CRM Guru, SoftwareMag.com, and Harvard Business Review; he is also the author of "The Chief Sales Officers Guide to CRM" and "Insights into High Tech Sales and Marketing" and is the co-author of "The Sales & Marketing Excellence Challenge" and "The Information Technology Challenge."
He is a board member for Baylor University's Center for Professional Selling, a regular guest host on World Business Review, a Trustee for The Morris Animal Foundation, and an often-requested keynote speaker at sales effectiveness, sales management, CRM and E-Business conferences.
Marc Usem
Marc Usem is a hedge fund manager at Usem Bergstrand Capital Management, LLC in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The firm manages QuantOne Partners, LP, a quantitative market neutral hedge fund.
Formerly, Marc was a Vice President and Senior publishing Internet technology analyst in the Equity Research Department at Salomon Smith Barney. Previously, Mr. Usem spent more than two years as an Equity Strategist at Salomon Brothers focusing on the development of broad stock market investment themes while concentrating on small-cap strategy and stock selection for the Firm's small-cap recommended portfolio.
Mr. Usem joined Salomon Brothers in 1993. Prior, he worked at Norwest Bank in Minneapolis as a computer systems analyst. Mr. Usem received an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a BA in computer science from Boston University.
